Advice for decisions that matter.
Independent, principal-led guidance when the cost of getting a technology decision wrong is difficult to ignore.
The engagement should fit the question. Not the other way around.
MKC works with founders, technology leaders, and organizations assessing important choices. Some questions need a concentrated, independent assessment. Others benefit from perspective over time. The work is scoped to the decision—not a predefined package of activity.
Focused advisory engagements
A defined engagement around a significant technical question: whether to adopt or replace a platform, how to evaluate an architecture, what risks deserve priority, or whether a proposed investment is justified.
The result is a reasoned assessment of the available options, the important tradeoffs, and a recommendation the organization can use.
Possible work: independent architecture reviews, option assessments, technology strategy decisions, and targeted risk evaluations.
Ongoing strategic advisory
A continuing relationship for leaders who value a trusted technical perspective but do not need another full-time executive or an outsourced delivery team.
MKC provides a consistent point of view as priorities shift, plans take shape, and new tradeoffs emerge. The relationship is advisory and principal-led, with scope agreed around what the organization actually needs.
Possible work: recurring leadership counsel, technology roadmap reviews, architectural decision support, and independent challenge of major proposals.
Technical due diligence
Technical due diligence serves both investors and acquirers evaluating a business, and organizations seeking an independent assessment of their own technology risks. MKC examines the assumptions, capabilities, and vulnerabilities that matter to the decision.
The emphasis is on material findings: what appears sound, which risks warrant attention, what requires further investigation, and what should influence the next decision. Conclusions depend on the scope and access available.
Possible work: architecture and platform assessments, security and resilience risk review, scalability constraints, technical organization evaluation, and prioritization of technology liabilities.
Experience across strategy, architecture, and technical leadership.
Those are disciplines, not separate packages. The right mix depends on the question. MKC does not presume that advice should lead to an implementation engagement.
